NFL Brothers Making A Name For Themselves And Their Family

J.J. Watt has become one of the best defensive players in the NFL. What you might not know is that his younger brother, T.J. Watt was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in April. Needless to say, football clearly runs in the family.

The younger Watt signed his first big league contract last week. Meanwhile, the older Watt took to Twitter to haze the rookie linebacker. While TJ has a ways to go to catch up to big bro’s prodigious career, he at least has a solid paycheck to afford that first meal.

What’s interesting to know is that the Watt’s become the latest brother tandem in the NFL. We’ve seen the iconic one’s of the Mannings and the Harbaughs, so let’s take a look at the current brother tandems in the NFL.

Some of these players come from classic football families, while other’s broke into the league thanks to a wealth of talent and a little bit of luck. Even if you don’t know everyone on the list, there’s a good chance you’ll recognize more than a few names. What’s even more impressive is that some of these brothers have even gotten the chance to play together on the sports grandest stage!

Michael signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2009.  The older Bennett also spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before returning to the Seahawks. He became a key contributor to the Seahawks defense in 2013 which ranked first in the NFL as they went on to win Super Bowl XLVIII.

Martellus is coming off a Super Bowl LI victory. The younger Bennett played with the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Chicago Bears, New England Patriots, and most recently signed a three-year, $21 million contract with the Green Bay Packers.

Known for his sense of humor, Martellus originally declared for the NBA Draft in 2005. With no teams taking him in the first round, he settled for football. That didn’t matter since he’s an accomplished athlete who’s also a children’s author.
